How to Request An Account

The procedure for getting access to the cluster is as follows:

If you are a student or someone without a login to the Request Tracker:

  • Send an email to deac-help AT wfu.edu with the phrase "ACCOUNT REQUEST" in the subject that contains your
    • name
    • wfu email address
    • wfu phone
    • emergency phone
    • Advisor (if you're a student)
    • preferred linux shell
    • department
    • office address
    • group (ask your advisor)
    • job title (e.g. student, faculty, staff, ... )
    • why you need access to the cluster
  • Have your sponsor (and you must have one) submit a ticket to Request Tracker with "ACCOUNT REQUEST" in the subject.

NOTE: Your sponsor may speed up the process by sending an email us at deac-help AT wfu.edu with the ticket number containing a short summary of who you are and why you need access to the cluster.
